Re: Pencil Battery Short Circuited in Child's Mouth
Man I hope as he gets older he can have more corrective surgery on his face. Poor sweetheart. And I thought it was gross when I would chew on a pen, end up breaking it somehow, and have a nice ink-coated mouth!

Re: Pencil Battery Short Circuited in Child's Mouth
too bad those types of batteries dont actually do that exploding thing like you think, they just spew chemicals slowly, even if it was put in fire it wouldnt be spectacular, raw lithium can be firey but not quite a boom either, sorry kids, no boom from small stuff, they just get hot and can burn your skin quite thuroughly however... a car battery could go boom, and capacitors, which hold a charge in order to release it in one go and then be charged again, so hooking a capacitor up to things can give it the jolt it needs to get up and go or...... you can put a huge output capacitor on something that only needs a small amount and watch some fireworks! "disclaimer" may cause science exploration/loss of limb/learning to make easy bomb/death/fun/childhood memories/ and blood rain. try it at home kids... im done
