having delivered hundreds myself (compared to your seeing two) we are far from brutal. i never pull the baby out. the uterus is awesome at its job and i simply stand there with my hands on baby's head and make sure that anterior shoulder comes under the pubic bone....no pulling needed. don't lump all doctors into the "brutal" category
