Open Pelvic Fracture From Being Run Over By Bus
A 20 year old student was trying to catch a bus and slipped, the bus tyre ran over his right side lower abdomen resulting in a open Pelvic fracture associated on the right side and a closed fracture femur on the opposite side. The closed fractured femur was managed by interlocking nails in orthopaedics. While the open pelvic fracture was debrided, fixed and closed primarily in plastic surgery. I've seen it in bus depots here in London  Wonder if any have been hit by a red double decker. Must investigate! |
very lucky if the bus had crushed his ribs and upper torso he wouldn't be as lucky
