Open Abdomen Dressings
This patient had a large abdominal laceration caused by an African sword (A Panga) with extensive evisceration and multiple lacerations. Initial damage control surgery was performed and a re-look required for muscle bleeding. He unfortunately did not survive his wounds.  A young male patient post damage control liver resection following a gunshot wound. Effectively applied, this low cost open abdominal dressing makes nursing the patient easier, it comprises five large swabs, one large transparent adhesive and one 'surgi-vac' suction drain.  |
