This piercing is called a "Nasallang".
(look up ampallang if you want a nsfw shock..lol)

I have my septum pierced...
But that looked painful.
(septum really wasn't bad at all had it done in 2005-2006ish. )

Outside nostrils? meh.. kids get that shit done all the time..
Now the area of cartilage where this was hit at and pierced?
(middle section of nose between nostrils, up from "normal" septum piercing area.)

That part was hardcore... push your nose side to side/against your face.. now.. the part that is resisting you from bending it? that's the cartilage they popped through.

Regular septum piercing is the lower part of the septum in a thin area of cartilage/skin. If you squeeze the bottom part of your septum with thumb/index, you'll notice the fatty part at bottom, the very thin area of cartilage/and/or/skin and the thicker cartilage above that.. the thin part is what is usually pierced. (is more or less just skin actually)
