Dramatic moment judge shoots contestant at point-blank range

The dramatic moment a judge accidentally shot a contestant at point-blank range during a gun competition was captured on video.

A judge, serving as a referee, was giving a safety demonstration to members of the Bydogoszcz Shooting Club LOK during the competition in Godawa, Poland in September - showing the participants how to safely cock a firearm and eject the cartridge.

But the weapon was suddenly fired just seconds later - striking a 68-year-old man in the buttocks at extremely close range.

The heart-stopping video footage captured the judge taking ownership of the shotgun and holding it above a wooden table while it was aimed directly in the direction of the contestant, who was loading up his own gun.
