Re: Nipple Abscess
Not that I've ever wanted to pierce anything other than my left ear lobe, but my then-wife was thinking about getting other now-run-of-the-mill piercing done. So I researched it and told her the only way I'd feel safe (if it were me) was if: 1) I found a reputable and experienced piercer; 2) I asked them what equipment I'd need to have N piercing done; and 3) myself purchase EVERYTHING end-to-end that was specified by the piercer for the procedure (everything from soup to nuts.) After we had that talk, she wasn't so interested any more. Like you, I've heard too many horror stories to just walk in, sit down, and let them go hog-wild. |

Re: Nipple Abscess
I was with a friend, when she got hers pierced and she wound up with a severe infection, because the piercer used the wrong kind of metal, pierced too deeply and didn't sanitize the stuff properly.Breastfeeding and being bitten by babies with teeth was enough for me. Lol

Re: Nipple Abscess
Yup vaga, but yet again still a lot more in there. I watch all these vids and always think they should make a bigger incision in certain places anyway. By the looks of things people leave these types of things too long, mind you it's different in the UK as we have a good NHS which stands for National Health Service to take care of the ill and needy patients, but still a bigger slit and the hole would not block up? Just my opinion |

Re: Nipple Abscess
Nips, septum pierced, have pierced my ears more times than I can remember, 5/8" stretched lobes.. all that noise.. (Stopped this stuff around 2006) I'm willing to bet it wasn't the person performing this piercing's fault. (unless it was some in-home backwoods nonsense) But the person's aftercare of the piercing... A half decent shop will at least have/use an autoclave, all new needles (cannot reuse them, they're hollow like a syringe, and pointed/cut the same. come sterile packed and packaging will change color if opened or cut etc.) You can pretty much tell what you're getting into when you go to a shop for this stuff. (Is it cluttered/messy? what kind of sterile devices do you see? is there a sharps container? gloves being used? etc.?) And if you ask questions and the shop owner/workers are dicks about answering ANY of it? just move on to somewhere else. It's your body... Don't fuck it up. FYI.. out of all the piercings I've had... nips hurt the most. |
