That is some scary stuff. That is why when you get any kind of opening on the skin, even small, clean it well and get some Neosporin on there. This shit is all over the place just hoping to invade someone. It's my understanding that most of this stuff starts from a small cut or wound, or chafing, that people just let get out of hand. When the shit gets a good foothold, it spreads like wild fire.

Sucks to get this shit. Had a classmate when I was in BUD/S that had this on his hip. He died about 2 months later.

Did you see where down in Joplin, Missouri (recent tornado) where 4 people died from this recently and other people have it. They have told the health care workers to be extremely careful.
