It's funny because I notice that these patients all seem to have large crypts (pits) in their tonsils that trap bacteria and cause tonsil stones -- which cause many cases of tonsillitis.

Also, by the looks of their teeth and mouths, it's apparent that poor oral hygienic has contributed to their outbreaks of tonsillitis.

The grosser pictures are what it looks like after you get your tonsils removed. I know because I had mine removed. You get really gross gray/yellow scabs that last for weeks, and I spent a few days throwing up blood. The pictures where the tonsils are swollen are from an infection, probably strep throat
