Re: Nailed It

Had some construction on my farm this past summer and one of the workers put not 1 but 2 nail's from a nail gun into his hand. You have to push on the gun to make to go off, not really sure how he did it twice, but the er pulled them out, cleaned him up, gave him a tetanus and all was good.

Pretty simple really the gun will bounce when the trigger is pulled if you get distracted and the first nail through your had is pretty distracting.

Nail guns come in one of two trigger types, Contact Trip/Bump or Sequential Trip. Contact Trip/Bump allows you to squeeze the trigger and fire a nail every time the contact arm is depressed, used often in production or where speed is desired. Sequential Trip (the safer of the two) will only fire when the contact arm is first depressed than the trigger pulled. My gun is of the Contact Trip/Bump variety. Its very easy to fire off two nails without a thought. Through experience and a lil luck I've never put a nail through my hand. I've caught the tip of many a nail though. A few of my buddies have pulled nails out of there hands with a pair of side-cuts and go right back to work.

Re: Nailed It

I would love to pull that fucker out.

On second thoughts I believe in my opinion his fingers need to be amputated with a hack saw.
