Mycosis Fungoides
Mycosis fungoides is cancerous and affects the skin, they are types of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. A telltale sigh is a red rash all over the body. The cause is unknown and those who have had it tend to have one or more chromosomal abnormalities which occur during a person's lifetime and are only found in the DNA of cancerous cells. The age range of most patients who are diagnosed with this disease is over 50. Mycosis fungoides is a fatal disease, that slowly covers the entire body through patches, plaque and tumour stages. The man pictured below was admitted to hospital in an already bad state, when treatment failed he succumbed to the disease 6 months after his original diagnosis and had half of his nose removed as well as his entire body completely covered with fungal patches. |
