I'd say the chances are he wouldn't do this again (of course you can never be sure), no-one likes the prison time though regardless of what some may say....and I'm pretty sure if people inside knew excatly what he did he wouldn't get a very nice welcome in there.

so sorry about your dad. a lot of answers on this thread so many of them bad. most people would not even have the courage to go thru killing someone much less the ability. vigilance and situational awareness will be your best defence. alarm system, cell phones and just watching out that you don't allow your self into a bad spot will keep you safe. these kind of people are unpredictable. good luck and a can of mace could be your best friend. i have weapons and training but anyone can get the better of another with patience. good luck, and keep the police on speed dial.
