My MRSA Infection * Update
MRSA - Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus 2 days before departuring home from the Philippines, I tore off a small piece of the nail on my right pinky toe. It stung a little, so I assumed I got a tiny piece of skin as well. On the flight home it started throbbing and pounding as hell, and I could only walk with a limp. Finally home, this is how it looked (day 1) The next day, a big blister has developed (day 2) Day three, the blister has popped and the worst of the throbbing ceased. I go see the doc, get a prescription for antiseptic cream, and told to soak it in warm medicinal soapwater to draw out the puss and come back in 2 days to remove the dead skin. Soaking on day 4 Remove the dead skin on day five, and told to come back the day after for checkup. The nail lifts straight off with the skin. The following day I am sent to the hospital and given different antibiotics. The bacteria test is positive for MRSA (day 6) With the correct medicine, it's healing nicely (day 8) Day 9: Day 10: Day 11 - 28 here:http://www.documentingreality.com/fo...ml#post5434535 |
