Wow! Thanks for sharing! You can really see the swelling in the last pic of the first see of his knees!

Because if the raft flips hiking boots fill with water and become very heavy, are hard to swim in and also they are bulky and are a drowning hazard because the laces and bulky boot itself are very prone to getting stuck in the rock crevices. You have to wear footwear while whitewater rafting that are light, non-absorbant and that will pop off of your feet if they become stuck on something.

Re: My Husbands Copperhead Bite

I will try scrubbing the sharpie off of his leg when the swelling is gone and it isnt as sore. Right now any pressure at all feels "like needles being jabbed into his leg" so I am leaving it alone. It is still very hot to the touch. I think a few black lines are low on the concern list at this point.

Re: My Husbands Copperhead Bite

Have you tried using hairspray? It usually gets ink stains off everything...might work on marker as well....
Try lots of hand sanitizer, even if it is alcohol free. I know it works, if you do it right away. Don't know after a couple of days.

I hope all goes well for him. <3

Wow! I'm so glad he's alright and getting better. I'm courious about the costs of the anti-venom. I've heard it's really really expensive.

Havent seen the bill yet but will let you know when we get it. I guess it is ridiculously expensive though.

Re: My Husbands Copperhead Bite

They also get the anti-venom from sheep on a special farm out west. Who knew.
Here is how:

I saw an episode of on the ER shows and they needed several vials of anti-venom to treat someone.
