Because if the raft flips hiking boots fill with water and become very heavy, are hard to swim in and also they are bulky and are a drowning hazard because the laces and bulky boot itself are very prone to getting stuck in the rock crevices. You have to wear footwear while whitewater rafting that are light, non-absorbant and that will pop off of your feet if they become stuck on something. |

I will try scrubbing the sharpie off of his leg when the swelling is gone and it isnt as sore. Right now any pressure at all feels "like needles being jabbed into his leg" so I am leaving it alone. It is still very hot to the touch. I think a few black lines are low on the concern list at this point. |
