My Holiday Souvenir
I managed to get blown over by the wind in Liverpool when I took my Dad to see his favourite football team's home ground. I didn't trip over anything as had on flat shoes and was on a road that was totally level but was wearing a Summer dress that billowed out around me quite a lot and I guess that was what did it. Never even knew I had fallen until I was on the ground and my Dad bending over me. Luckily, it wasn't my chin that took most of the damage but it was a close run thing with my knee (See picture two.). I was more upset about dropping my ice cream cone, which cost me £3.00 but my Dad was so concerned he dragged me up off the floor and bruised the top of my arm in the process, which is shown in the first picture. (I'm a big girl so he had a lot to try to pick up.) We put ice on the knee at the hotel (which was from an ice machine in the hallway outside our room and is pretty unusual in the UK outside of the big hotel chains) but it never really hurt that much. Dad was so worried about it he woke me up six times in the night to ask if it was hurting and did I want Paracetamol.
