Re: My Friend and Her Cuts
I think that kind of crap should be banned since it encourages people with issues to hurt themselves. And no doubt, scarred up scabby chicks with fresh senseless nasty scabs are soooooo sexy... NOT! |

Re: My Friend and Her Cuts
I don't get the hatred towards cutters here. It's no more self destructive than doing drugs or heavy drinking, or even possibly smoking or binge-eating. It's something people do to hurt themselves, just like any other. If you use sterile materials and know where to cut, then there is little risk. What is it that I do not understand? |

Re: My Friend and Her Cuts
I had a sister who deliberately would injure herself. Not only cutting but just about anything. She would make out like it was an accident and then spread blood all over the place to ramp up the shock value. Or get her finger caught in a gear, or stab herself. It just went on and on for years with her trying and actually getting bucket loads of attention and sympathy. These people are doing the same thing here when the post this crap. It's one thing if it's a true accident and we get to see surgery or medical photos. This is not that. It's attention whores cutting themselves for attention.

Re: My Friend and Her Cuts
but is it not sad when people feel the need to hurt themselves as a way to reach out? Does that not make this a legitimate mental condition, and thus a medical problem? I still don't understand.
