MRSA is the same bug for humans and dogs. Surprised that doxycycline is working for him; it's a pretty bog-standard bacteriostatic antibiotic, but then again dog immune systems are usually much better than human ones, so you might get away with it... but I'd be using marbofloxacin at the very least.

i guess i should have stated he grew out ha-mrsa. the doctor wanted to know if i had come into contact with it (i am a home health nurse) but i had not. its rare for a critter to grow out that type of mrsa. it was only in the soft tissues of his leg. he was one very sick pup. hes been cleared to be his "puppy" self (hes 10)

my dog has fully recovered and is back to retarded self. it wasnt mange i can promise you that. he had tibial plateau leveling osteotomy surgery for shredding his acl (he had both knees done. but the right one was torn in two and had bone chips)
