Last Wednesday I had surgery to repair a "diaphragmatic hernia". I thought I'd share. For a few months I've had a terrible pain on my left side under my ribs , They took an x-ray and they suspected a hole just by the fact "my spleen wasn't in the correct position". They where able to do it laparoscopically which I'm thankful for. I think it more was a precaution to look and see what was exactly going on inside. Apparently I ended up actually not having hole in my diaphragm but it was actually thin section in the membrane separating my spleen from the inside of my diaphragm. So my Dr. closed it back together. I was supposed to go home the next day but... My lung collapsed. So I got out today and am feeling good. Defiantly a lot better then when I first came out.
