My Compound Fracture (leg)

Heya guys (and girls) I'm kind of new here but don't be fooled, I've been around these kinds of sites for a long while (mainly Ogrish and SnuffX) so I am a bit of a vet.

Anywho I thought I'd share some pics of my leg post-surgery for your enjoyment.

These were taken after 5 days at the hospital when I finally got home (June 8th '09). They gave me a removable cast so I could clean the wounds as it was a compound fracture so infection is a big deal. I broke both my tibia and fibula and the bones popped out of my leg where you see the stitches. I now have a titanium rod through the length of my calf and two plates in my knee and ankle. They had to cut through my kneecap to insert the rod and install the plate.

How did I do it? Well... lol... It all starts with "I was shitfaced" lmao. I was wrestling a friend on Hollywood Blvd on a Friday night and had him from the back in a 'pseudo' choke, he flipped me and my right leg hit first, sideways, on concrete. Total accident. I bled on the Motley Crue star on the walk of fame, I thought that was fitting lol.

I actually felt no pain but the lower half of my body went numb and I knew I had broken my leg. My friends didn't believe me as I was so calmly saying "Guys, I broke my leg" repeatedly, but once one of them lifted up my jeans and saw my bones poking out they then proceeded to call 911 asap.

5 days in the hospital and a shot of dilaudid (strongest thing they had) every 2 hours for pain. Worst pain I've ever felt in my life, almost unbearable at times, and I've had numerous stitches and broken bones in my life. Just not like this.

Sorry no footage of it happening, though it was almost filmed (damnit).

Sorry for my gross feet... hadn't showered in 5 days at this point (yuck), the pain was just too much. Love you Vicodin.

Anyways, good times...

I can't even begin to explain the pain... Not when it happened, but the days and month or so after, it was brutal.
