Re: My Brother's Battle with Cancer

That pulled at my heart strings. Lost my aunt to cancer. Started with a mole on the bottom of her foot and within six months had spread to her brain and literally melted it. Hard to see these photos bc she lost weight quickly and even with radiation and chemo, it spread so fast, there was nothing that could be done. Sorry for your loss.

Re: My Brother's Battle with Cancer

Thank you for sharing these photos of your brother. I am so sorry for you and the family and all who loved him. I have been an RN for 39 years and have seen this before. In spite of how hard it is to see a person that has a disfiguring disease, the photos of your brother showed a touching dignity in the midst of nature's indignity.I am glad that your brother is not hurting now. I believe he is also well and strong and happy now. Thank you for educating everyone on the atrocity of cancer. I pray we wipe it out soon.

Re: My Brother's Battle with Cancer

So sad. Just awful. So sorry. I lost a brother a few years back. Septic shock. It makes me wonder if those treatments didn't really kill your brother. I mean if the lip was not. Other information him and he was fine uo I tio they messed with it maybe he would not have gone out like that and or so fast. I guess it doesn't matter now. I'm so sorry. I think it's so awesome you shared this info. Thank you.

Yes, he was a father. My nephew was 24 and my niece 21 at the time. My nephew is hearing impaired so it was especially hard on him. Thanks for the kind words.

I have wondered soooo many times if he would have just left the spot on his lip alone what would have happened. I feel especially guilty for hounding him to go to the doctor. I think the "what ifs" may haunt me for a long while. Thanks for the nice words.

Re: My Brother's Battle with Cancer

I just have to post this thought. I have been a member on here for a long time so I have seen the types of comments "we" can make. That is one reason I took so long to post. I wasn't sure I was ready for any hateful or callous remarks regarding my brother.

Y'all could not have proven me more wrong. I have seen nothing but kind remarks and sincere condolences. Y'all may be one sick and fucking twisted DR family, but you are MY sick and fucking twisted DR family and I love you guys!

Re: My Brother's Battle with Cancer

I am sorry for your loss, and your brother's terrible suffering. I appreciate you sharing these photos with us.
When you say the cancer went 'radical', I take that to mean the surgery 'woke' it up, like if he had had the chemo the first go round, or even if he hadn't had the first growth taken off, it might haven't been so aggressive?
