Re: My Breast Reduction
The shape will come back after a couple months. I only had mine wrapped the first 24 hours, so they weren't as squished, and I didn't have drains. Your body will definitely make them heal and look better. Yours look great! Not too much bruising! You're one week post-op, right? The attached photo is one week, two days. You didn't bruise as badly as I did! I bet it's so much more comfortable to sleep now. I remember that right away; not feeling the skin-on-skin. Also, I still totally have Frankenboobies as well. I was consuming some potato-based and malt beverages this weekend, and some people asked about the surgery, and they were quite impressed with the scars! They still look red and painful, but they don't hurt. Also, young people scar more than old people because they tend to heal faster. Older peoples' skin takes longer to heal, making scars smaller. Anyways, you're looking great! Flaunt them! |

Re: My Breast Reduction
The underside is more bruised than the picture shows, but all told, there was a lot less bruising than I expected, really. I have been avoiding sleep like the plague since surgery. EVERY time I sleep, I end up hurting myself!! I am a stomach sleeper, so trying to sleep on my back is difficult. And my sides, where the drain tubes went in, etc, still hurt like hell, so sleeping on my side is difficult. I wonder if the drains help prevent some of the bruising... relieving pressure and all that? |

Re: My Breast Reduction
You look like you're healing so well! I feel your pain about sleeping. I'm a side sleeper, so it was so hard to sleep more than 3-4 hours at a time without waking up. And maybe the drains prevent some bruising. I'll have to research that. And I'm not calling you old; I'm calling myself young! |

Re: My Breast Reduction
Ok, previous picture was the first time I was unwrapped - at 4 days. Had my wife take another pic tonight... day 8 post-op. I think they're looking better. Bruising is going away, and stitches aren't as prominent. The shape is more relaxed. |

Re: My Breast Reduction
Thanks for posting again. How long will the scars be there? They look awesome. I gotta stop staring Btw, sorry for killing your thread lol. Thanks for posting too. They really do look squished. The second picture looks like they are getting back to form lol. It looks like your left breast is bigger than the other though. Also, I am starting to feel extremely uncomfortable. I clicked on the thread title to see some boobs. I saw some nice boobs (post bruising). I saw your.. mature boobs. I then remembered that my mother had breast reduction surgery. I threw up in my brain after a very quick and gross mental image. I don't intend the word mature to be mean, I just didn't want to say old lol. I also discovered just now that I can throw up in my brain. |
