Re: My 3yr Old Son and His Geographic Tongue.
I thought Geographic tongue meant he can name all 50 states, as I was thinking "Why the hell is this in the medical section?" Didn't realize it was a disease. |

I have this too, it sucks. Just within the last few years its gotten more pronounced. I can't eat really spicy foods either. Alcohol also agitates it as well...

I also have this.I was told to gargle with a half glass of water and a drop of hot sauce, each week gradually add another drop.It has helped a lil bit,But my tongue will still split, get red, burn etc.. Orange juice kills me. I feel for ya lil man.

Re: My 3yr Old Son and His Geographic Tongue.
I have this as well, however in my 22 years of life, it's had very little effect on me. I tend to get canker sores a lot when I splurge on candy or eat a lot of tomatoes (which I love). The most that happens is that my tongue is sore for a few days, but it doesn't change my taste or anything. I don't have any other major problems digestive-wise except for GERD. I'm sure your kiddo will be okay with it. :)
