Re: MRSA Infection in Right Leg
The Brown Recluse really F!@$#%D me up royally. I was a Firefighter and working one day at a fire in my bunker gear. Those damn little things like warm, moist places. One got in my bunker pants and it bit me when I slid my gear on. Never knew it did it until I started feeling like crap later that afternoon. They took me to the hospital and found the lil' SOB in my boot when they undressed me.

Re: MRSA Infection in Right Leg
Good to hear you're recovering from this. Had my scare with MRSA, but was only plain staph. (Was a post-op infection). The Silvadene you had on your leg not only helps heal, but is antimicrobial. Luckily you didn't get compartment syndrome from the swelling, they were going to treat me for that when I had my infection. Compartment syndrome and any localized infection like staph or the methicillin resistant version of it usually does not end well. Good to have all of our limbs. Thanks for sharing. |

Re: MRSA Infection in Right Leg
I hate hate hate hate hate hate hate SPIDERS! I saw a video yesterday of a Brazilian wandering spider (?) I think?... And it was so very aggressive, it will actually give chase! It is supposed to be the deadliest spider in the world. It was so freakin scary. Sorry that all this has happened to you :( - could you please post a quick pic of your leg now as it's healed? I think I speak for all of us when I say we want an "after" photo. Thanks, and I wish you continued good health! |

Re: MRSA Infection in Right Leg
Damn! I'm glad you are recovering! I know it gets hot in certain seasons, but, with your medical record, you might want to keep your legs and feet covered and wear closed shoes. Thanks for sharing |
