MRSA Infection
What wonderful stuff MRSA is. This is my second outbreak of it. Made it 44 years without anything like this and then the girlfriend that boards dogs in her house comes along. Knew she was a bad housekeeper but had no idea of what was living in her home. This starts out feeling like a spider bite with a little pustule and then it spreads. Pain can be really bad. These are two different places.

Mine is what they call community associated MRSA which is more responsive to drugs but is more virulent than what is in the hospitals. Dogs are carriers of this and I caught it from spending nights with the girlfriend and she let numerous dogs sleep in the bed with her when I was not there. Personally I would rather get shot again than have a MRSA outbreak as the gunshot pain goes away in a few days but this pain can last for a couple weeks or more. If you let dogs sleep in bed with you this can happen to you too. |

OH PULEEEZE!!!  PIGEON!!!! Um, last week, did you, or did you not happily giggle away while you filmed a parrot actually fucking your hand??? And then post the video on DR? (Tell me, did you notice a little wet spot on your hand when he was done?) Seriously! I have 3 tiny, nearly bald chihuahuas under the blankets, snuggled up to me and hubby as I type here in bed. They are my little babies, and I love them so much I cannot imagine not letting them cuddle up in bed. They are clean, soft, warm, and most welcome in our bed. PS. And they don't try to fuck me, either |

I can't get a disease from the bird! And there was no wet spot as he didn't "finish" * eta: Found out humans can contract a few diseases, most often psittacosis, especially if you have an aviary. Still, since they are aves, I would be surprised if the number is anywhere near the number of diseases humans can contract from cats or dogs. |

I've mostly heard about Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus infections at hospitals and nursing homes. (Yes, I know I did not need to spell it out, but I'm practicing for a test) |
