MRSA Infection

First post, I hope you enjoy!

These are from my MRSA experience back in 2012. I was doing some work in the yard and was bitten by something causing an infection as I'm fairly allergic to most insects. Started with mild pain then was hard to put any pressure on it. After 3 ER visits and a few misdiagnoses they finally admitted me with MRSA. They went in and drained it and left it open for a wound vac to finish the job. After about a month it was basically healed. I'm lucky to have my foot that's for sure!

Cringeworthy! I'm glad they were to save your foot before necrosis or sepsis set in.

Re: MRSA Infection

Did you have any pain meds to deal with it, especially during pic #4, and if so, how well did they work?

Re: MRSA Infection

mrsa skin infection. nasty stuff but luckily they have some good new meds for better treatment these days. more info and pics.
http://www.webmd.com/skin-problems-a...r-look-at-mrsa
didn't know mrsa could survive for days in the water or beach so better cover scrapes and minor wounds with bandage before going at the beach etc.
