and that my friends is what addiction is...plain n simple, the high they need makes the consequences worth it,that is if they even know whats happening.saw a guy in the mid 80s who was hooked on huffing paint,it destroyed his brain.we were trying to get him to tell us where he lived,we knew he lived near the tracks, below my home btw,his facial skin had so much paint on it,the skin under was dying,so the ems medics said,he wasnt high at the time so amr ambulance took him to the er,but he left before a dr saw him.5 days later,we had a call for train vs ped......got there ad it was this guy,he was sitting on a rail just around a curve that passed under a bridge, the brakeman saw hm for only one second, and then a spray of blood was seen ,he was a mess, took two of us plus a undersheriff several hours to clean it all up,i had the wildland engine and i had a FF,grab it and we washed down the entire area.
jesus the poor train conductor... at least it was quick
