Model's Looks Destroyed By Acid
Today's News    Former model and TV presenter, Katie Piper has spoken about how relieved she is to see her ex boyfriend Daniel Lynch jailed for arranging an acid attack on her. Lynch contacted her after seeing her on Facebook and said he had been following her career and she agreed to meet him and started dating. Unknown to her, he had previous convictions for violence and throwing boiling water in another man's face. One evening, Lynch kept Katie in a hotel for 8 hours, raped her and threatened to slash her. He later claimed it was a result of steroid abuse but she ended her relationship with him and did not report him to the police. Even though he bombarded her with calls, she ignored them. Lynch then met Stefan Syvestre, 21 and arranged for him to throw acid in his ex girlfriend's face. Katie thought he was a beggar when he approached her with a cup in the street. When she went into her bag for some change, he threw the sulphuric acid on her face. She lost the sight in one eye and was badly burned. She waived her anonymity to speak about her attack when the two were jailed today for life, Lynch having to serve a minimum of 16 years. Link
