Missing Toothbrush Head?
A 65 year old woman attended hospital fearing she had swallowed the head of her toothbrush when it came off in her mouth. The doctors scanned her stomach and could not find any trace of it and sent her home. She returned the next day complaining of pain in her jaw. They scanned her face and hey pronto, there was the toothbrush. But they can't figure out how it got there, and neither can I....

Re: Missing Toothbrush Head?
happened in Hamburg, Germany. They think that when the toothbrush head came off the plastic end pierced her soft tissue as in the ER they couldn't find anything and after a few days more of pain she visited her family doc and sent home again as he couldn't find anything eighter. After another few days she had trouble eating and swallowing food so she again went to her family doc who did a mri scan and then he saw the 6 cm head of the toothbrush. She was admitted to the ER again for surgery and could leave the hospital after a 5 day stay. She was brushing her teeth while doing household chores and fell. |
