Melanoma Removal
So, last week I got a phone call from my dermatologist that the biopsy they took from my forearm was Melanoma. Scheduled surgery for the Monday after Thanksgiving. Still waiting on the results to see if they removed it all or if I have to go back for a bigger chunk to be removed. Thought my fellow DR would like to see the pics. Hopefully they load in order. 1. Pic of forearm with biopsy scooped out 2. Arm prepped and numbed 3. The chunk they removed. Doc was showing me the backside indicating he did not see any melanoma there which hopefully means it has not spread. 4. What's left of my forearm. haha 5. 14 stitched later. 6. Clean version of 14 stitches later. 7. Healing as of today, 12/5/2022. |

Re: Melanoma Removal
Go to a doctor. There are Melanomas and there are Basels and and there are Squamous and there is Kaposi, symptoms vary even within type. My SO has had a few cancers removed, he thought one of my spots was a cancer, he was sure it was, even I was beginning to suspect. It wasn't. Thing is, you won't know until you see a doctor.
