No the towel wasn't planned! lol. Thats the wifes favourite towel!

And apparently, a hair looks like an arrow under a microscope so once its worked into the skin it will keep going and going. Then it keeps moving around and branches all over the place causing infections and constant leakage (yum!).

Some good news for the men! About 75% of men will get this at one point or another. Some worse than others. Take my advice, Instead of leaving it for two and a half years like I did (I had the typical male attitude of "it will go away"), go to the docs straight away!! You can get this in your scrotum too. Cheer up though, at least you would have a nurse playing with your dangleys everyday!

Oh and women (mainly hairdressers) can get this between their toes!

Well it came and went as a swelling. I went to the docs once and was given antibiotics and it went away. Then kept coming and going until early last year it came to a head and the sinus formed as a small hole (which you can see in the first pic at the very tip of the wound) and didnt go away. So then I did go to get the op done and it took this long to sort it out as the hospital were always cancelling my op.
