2. "2 year old boy fell from a second-floor balcony into a bush, and a tree branch penetrated into the orbit after causing a major laceration in the eyelid. The piece of wood penetrated the infra-temporal fossa via a fracture of the lateral wall.

To treat this case, multiple pieces of leaf and bark were carefully removed and the lesion was irrigated using antibiotic solution. The lid laceration was repaired, and a drain was placed.

Four years later, he had perfect visual acuity, complete eye motility, and a well-healed eyelid."

10. "This 65 year old woman was transferred to the Department of Hand and Plastic Surgery of Ume å University Clinic. She suffered from several tumours that were mainly present in the scalp and face during most of her adult life. According to the patient, several of her close family members suffered from similar tumours.

A previous histopathological examination confirmed the diagnosis of cylindromatosis. The patient was treated under general anaesthesia with tumour removal and cleft skin transplantation. In the first session, the skin of the scalp was carefully removed by grooming into the subgal plane and following the avascular compartment. A thorough hemostasis has been used and a mastered splitting skin transplant was used to reconstruct the scalp.
In a second session an excision of the skin of the neck and right ear was performed followed by a splitting skin transplant.

In addition, several tumours were cut out of the upper body and legs. The patient recovered well after both surgeries. Transplant intake after both operations was excellent, with nearly 100 % coverage after 2,5 weeks.

During a follow up examination 4 months after the first surgery, the aesthetic result of the surgery was excellent. The patient was finally provided with a matching wig covering the transplanted area.
She experienced a huge improvement in terms of confidence and social interaction skills with an improved quality of life."
