It sort of looks like the doctors might have "modified" the wounds...I mean that looks like they cut chunks of his skin. But maybe a really deep swipe of a knife across the skin can cause the skin to pull away in either direction. Either way, OUCH!

ok well skin is basically strechy correct? there's a resistance that keeps it nice and tight if you cut it in a gash or a slash it will naturally pull away because the rest of the skin is still sorta together u following me?

not too long ago we got these pics emailed to us, he's a military guy stationed in korea (i'm in the mil too, which is why we got them emailed to us), he was attacked by a korean with a sword, apparently....
