Man Left Tied and Seriously Hurt on the Side of the Road
The incident occurred on Saturday 15th, in the Colônia Terra Nova neighborhood, north of Manaus. A man identified only as M., forty years old, was found by locals after being beaten and punched. According to military police officers from the 18th Community Interactive Company (Cicom), witnesses reported that they found the victim still alive and that he would have identified himself and said he was a motorcyclist through an app. The man also said that he had been the victim of kidnapping on Friday 14th. The Mobile Emergency Service (Samu) was still triggered, but the victim could not resist and died at the scene. According to the expertise of the Technical-Scientific Police Department (DPTC), the man had his hands and feet tied and there were several signs of beating as well. According to the expertise carried out on the victim, the experts identified several stab wounds in the back of the head and marks of a possible beheading attempt. The body was removed by the Legal Medical Institute (IML) and the case will be investigated by the Specialized Homicide and Kidnapping Police Station (DEHS). |
