A 33-year-old man, Cláudio H.G.P., was killed and a 28-year-old woman, Bruna L.G.P., seriously injured in a collision involving a car, a motorcycle, and a truck on the SP-322 highway. Cláudio was driving a Volkswagen Fox, with Bruna being his passenger.

A motorcyclist and the truck driver told police the car was zigzagging between lanes with its passenger door open before the collision. The motorcyclist said he swerved onto the shoulder to avoid the erratic vehicle and then threw himself to the ground upon hearing the impact. As for the truck driver, he slowed down and attempted to swerve but was unable to avoid a head-on collision with the Volkswagen.

Police searching the Volkswagen found documents belonging to Bruna, including a power of attorney, papers related to a divorce proceeding and a judicial order for urgent protective measures against Cláudio. The items were seized as part of the investigation. Local authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
