Minister of Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Rohani Abdul Karim said that the boy was discharged from the Hospital after a month and she ensured that he is treated with care, protection and rehabilitation.
"As a disabled person, we will provide all assistance and facilities needed. He will be located at one of our child care institutions, appropriate to his condition.
"We will also provide counseling for his emotions are not yet stable," she told reporters.
Rohani also said that the department will also keep track of the teenager's relatives, apart from his mother.
"This is because, although he will be in our institution, I do not want a broken family relationships. The family must share the responsibility to ensure that he receives all love, "she said.
She said Muhammad Firdaus becomes stronger by the day and his appetite is greatly increased.
"Within three days, his weight had increased with two kilograms. He gave a good response to the treatment given to him.
He looks happy and wants to eat alone, which is important to grew stronger. The 'cerebral palsy' situation is normal, "she said.
October 14, 2015 KUALA LUMPUR - Dullah Muhammad Firdaus, 16, who was found in a pitiful state in a house last year, has died.
The teenage boy got a seizure at noon and fainted. However, on the way to the hospital, Firdaus was pronounced dead.
Firdaus was discovered in June 2014 in a very heartbreaking condition at his home.
His mother, Lolanopita Sadi, 41, was jailed for 4 months and fined RM10,000 for the offense deliberately ignoring him.
