That's what happened to my dog. I put him down a few days after the ultrasound showed masses in his liver and obstructing his intestines. Which explained the diarrhea and crazy 10-15% weight loss in two weeks.

He just had his physical the month before and things were normal. Cancer sucks and the body can compensate a lot until it doesn't.

My dog most likely had cancer up to 6 months to a year before symptomology.
