Although, more precisely, while the child might have Treacher-Collins, s/he also has holoprosencephaly and otocephaly, which cause the whole nose and ear thing, respectively.

It may have already been cited, but this article comes from Medscape, and there's a quiz at the bottom that says "What's the diagnosis?" T-C is a possible answer, so is fetal alcohol, Angelman and Goldenhar, so if there is definitely no T-C present, it is being associated with T-C by virtue of the attached dx quiz. http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/737784 |
