Male Circumcision: Surgical and Traditional Procedures
Male circumcision is the surgical removal of the foreskin. It is performed for religious, cultural, hygiene and perceived health reasons, in both clinical and traditional settings. Methods used for adolescents and adults include forceps-guided removal, dorsal slit and sleeve techniques, with sutures used to close the wound. A 2007 estimate put the proportion of circumcised males aged 15 and older worldwide at about 30%. Adult complication rates under optimal clinical conditions were reported at about 2% to 4%. Three randomized trials found that circumcision reduces men's risk of acquiring HIV through heterosexual sex. Traditional ritual procedures can cause fatal complications: estimates cited in 2007 put deaths in South Africa at 40 to 50 young men annually, mainly from infection and hemorrhage. |

Re: Male Circumcision: Surgical and Traditional Procedures
Eewwww cut that turtle head skin off. I dated an un circumcised guy years ago-man was it gross. He had to clean out the stinky smegma everytime we fucked around. Ugh I can smell it now. Mothers- def circumcise your son when he's born. At least in America, it doesn't really hurt. My son didn't even cry. |
