Maggot Therapy - Foot

Maggot Debridement Therapy (MDT) is the medical use of live maggots (fly larvae) for treating non-healing wounds. In maggot debridement therapy, disinfected fly larvae are applied to the wound for 2 or 3 days within special dressings to keep them from migrating. Three primary reasons for the use of MDT are: they clean the wounds by dissolving dead and infected tissue, they disinfect the wound and they speed up the rate of healing.

Re: Maggot Therapy - Foot

I wouldn't want this therapy, but it works so well. The fun part is removing all of them.
