Re: M.S. Sucks!
Betaseron is the one I didn't try. I had copaxone for a cpl of years first, then rebif for about 5 years. I got 11 new lesions in 6 months hence the switch to avonex. I go for new MRI's in January. If there are any new ones then, I'll have to start the Tysabri infusions. I will definitely look into the chest port thing, but I doubt if they'll give it to me. I had a really screwed up week awhile ago, when I was living alone, and I checked myself into the hospital. I told them it was because I was afraid I'd hurt myself. Meaning "I think I might fall and crack my head open." They heard "I want to kill myself." They won't even leave an IV line in me over night. I get that they think it's in my best interest, but I've known most of the nurses/aides my whole life. They believe me, but the ER doc was new and went all freak-show. For everyone who offered support, thank you very much. I am so sorry for those who lost loved ones to this bullshit. Guderian1974, as a general rule I don't just sit around and suffer. Well today I am, but that's from the new shot. Leaves me with a massive hangover. I have a wonderful bestfriend/re-boyfriend who is a huge blessing to me. His son and mine are the same age, though mine is off to school. I missed having 'babies' around. The BF's son has one of the world's worst mothers. He loves coming over here and getting babied. I have a little girl, that I call my Sithlet, who comes over every Friday night and sleeps over. Me and the BF took her out to the rodeo grounds on Saturday to participate in launching rotten pumpkins with massive slingshots. She got to pet and feed a horse too. 'It was the best day ever!' Holy Crap I'm babbling. Damn oxycontin and the internet! Shutting up now. |

Re: M.S. Sucks!
My mother does that because she has a fear of needles. Here, they are called butterfly needles because there is a little piece of plastic on the small needles that looks like a butterfly. She shrieks, (sp?), like Michael Jackson before they get within six inches of her arm though :) |

Re: M.S. Sucks!
Hi Kim, I've been on Tysabri for 18 months & it's been a god send...it's stopped all my MS symptoms except the fatigue...if injecting becomes too much for you (like it did with me) then I urge you to talk to your neuro about starting on Tysabri...life for me is normal again Good luck xx |
