There isn’t a vaccine or cure for lymphatic filariasis. Ivermectin and other anti-parasitic meds can kill many of the worms and keep the patient from spreading the infection to someone else. Patients usually are put on an annual regimen of chemo-therapy. Advanced treatment includes surgery.
