Technical Term: Decubitas Ulcers. I did a report on them when I took a med class years ago. Its really fucked up when you think about. Heat and pressure and the general breaking down of tissues. Not to mention you have to lay on that same spot for a while to get one of that proportion. That's gotta suck to be laying in one spot. Dude probably couldnt even see the television from that angle either.

I've heard horror stories from medics about grotesquely obese people being fused to upholstery on couches and chairs because they never get up and their parents or spouses just bring them food.

Very Very True. And the shocking part is that it happens more then you think. The body, when not properly taken care of is a very peculiar thing. It will deteriorate like hamburger meat left out to rot. Its truly revolting when people either wont or cant take care of themselves, and if they cant due to age or health its disheartening that there is no one who can care for them. If you a big fat heifer who got her ass melted to the couch from NOT putting down the bag of cheetos, I have no sympathy. But in the case above, of pressure sores, it breaks my heart. This topic bummed me out a little bit. I think I will put a dancing banana in to lighten in up a little bit...  |

Omg!!!! Poor thing!! He's alive in the pix, but I bet he didn't live much longer, even with treatment. Looks pretty far gone. Horrible than no one knew or took action until this point.   |
