Looking Like a Zombie Due to Severe Burns
At two years old Zaid survived burns so severe that doctors say it is a miracle he’s still alive. Others now tease him for "looking like a zombie". Zaid wants the world to know that he’s just a nice guy who enjoys making new friends. A schoolboy who miraculously survived 80 per cent burns is raising money so he can see his family and friends for the first time since an horrific accident as a toddler. Zaid Garcia, from Galveston, Texas, has been blind since the age of two after a candle caught fire to his blankets as he slept and burned him alive. Doctors said he wouldn't survive his fourth degree burns - but after countless operations, amputations and skin grafts, Zaid, pulled through.   |

Zaid is one of the sweetest bravest children anywhere. I've been following his story for years now. It's also extremely impressive how well he speaks without the use of lips. It's so sad most people will never see his worth and inner beauty. This feels terrible to say but I think it's a blessing he doesn't have sight because it would be so painful to see everyone staring at me. Anyway I just had to express my feelings about him! An inspiration.

Jesus Christ you guys!! You are making an old lady cry!! I was watching some stories about face transplants that were nothing short of a miracle. They should look into this, it might not heal his body but it could do wonders for ability to talk and eat and feel more confident. I just want to give him a big hug!!!
