During the stress of trying to eradicate lice from our house and hair, I found a way to have some fun. My son got an EyeClops Bionicam for Christmas. He has had fun taking pictures of money, fabric, and all kinds of other interesting things. When I captured a live louse, I decided to see I could use the Bionicam to get a closer look.
Here are some interesting facts about capturing this footage. The louse was crawling around too fast to stay in the frame, so I put an ice cube on the opposite side of the paper towel to slow him down. It worked! After about 10 seconds, his (her?) movements almost stopped.
Then, I took off the ice and put the paper towel on the tip of my finger and moved my finger back and forth to get the correct focus. As the louse started to warm up, the first thing I noticed is that the (human) blood in his abdomen would start fluctuate back and forth. Then his legs would start to move, and then finally, he would start to crawl.
