Re: Little Girl with Patau Syndrome
I don't see how people can see a child in pain like this and believe that abortion isn't justified. Really, if you were a baby about to be born and someone came to you and said "Would you want to live the rest of your short life in pain, blind, deaf, unable to communicate with your parents who you love, unable to do anything for yourself and inevitably die a slow death? Or would you want to bypass all of that" I'm pretty sure you'd pick the less painful option. I know that everyone should have a chance at life, but when there's a 100% chance that your child will only be a vegetable for the rest of their life and unable to even understand that they are alive then...I don't know. I don't think I could go through with making my child endure that much pain. It would be selfish.

Re: Little Girl with Patau Syndrome
sad for the child, even worse for the parents, how does one cope with something like that?I've been through so rotton shit in my life and would rate MY misery level at a 9 in the past but nothing compaires to having a child who's sick in any way,I watched my nephew go through leukemia and NOT survive,at times I prayed for a quick death for him,he suffered and all for notta |
