This is an 8 week embryo (anything before 12 weeks is called an embryo. After that, it is called a fetus.) It is probably from a miscarriage, since if it was an abortion, it would have been torn apart.

8 week fetus, probably from a miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy. If it was from an abortion, it wouldn't be intact.
