Lifting 250 Kg Goes Horribly Wrong for Russian Powerlifter Yaroslav Rados
Russian powerlifter Yaroslav Radoshkevich has been forced into an early retirement from the sport after suffering a horrendous leg break during an event. The 20-year old was competing at the powerlifting Eurasian Championship in Khabarovsk, Russia but failed in his first two attempts at a 250kg lift. And unfortunately it was third time unlucky as when he tried to hold the immense weight above his head, his knees completely buckled and it resulted in one of the most horrific injuries you will ever see. Having ignored a slight ankle problem going into the competition, Radoshkevich suffered a double closed fracture of his shinbone and complete fracture of his ankle, forcing him to be rushed into hospital for surgery. He now faces a six month lay-off but has already decided there's no way he can carry on after sustaining such a brutal injury. "I can hardly return to this sport following such an injury," he admitted. "I had achieved a lot but I will have quit my hopes and ambitions as rehabilitation will approximately take six months." |

FUCKING HELL! That made me have an outburst of disgust! Don't know what he was thinking lifting almost 40st, he's not exactly a big bloke.

That audible snap The heaviest thing I ever lifted was 250kg, that took every last ounce of strength I had, and I'm about twice the size of that guy. Some people just don't know their limits and it takes a horrible injury for them to learn. |

My son was squatting about that weight this year when his knee started to act up on him. Thankfully, he listened to his knee and took some time off to let it heal. |
