Re: Lets Try These Shoes On...

seriously... i was wondering the same thing...

when i was 15 i almost pretty much died... i know its not something people usually go through but i was with my mom, my grandmother, and my uncle. we were coming out of a grocery store when we were robbed at gunpoint... me and my uncle stepped forward to protect my mom and grandmother from getting hurt... tried fighting off the robber... im guessing the robber panicked and shot my uncle dead in the face... he ran away after that... i can still hear the excruciating yell coming from my uncle... he was in critical condition in the hospital for 4 days... because the bullet went into his brain... unfortunately he didnt survive...

i swear, that story still gets to me sometimes when i tell it but since we're on the subject i thought i'd share mine... it really disgusts me how cold hearted and mindless some people are in this world...
God, random crime is so much harder in some ways...it's just so senseless and pointless...did they ever catch the bastard that shot your uncle?

I hate how people always go on about that giving 'closure'...no such thing of course...but it does help not to have to obsess about the arseface being out there still, unpunished...

Re: Lets Try These Shoes On...

I did; my first fiance, who I had been with since first grade...drunk driver, hit and run...I blamed myself for not being there with her that day for a long time, and really came close to trying to find and kill the driver and the judge that slapped his wrist instead of giving my Elizabeth justice...took a long, long time to get my shit straight after that...
sorry for your lose, it's really heartbreaking losing someone that close that you knew basicly ur whole life

Re: Lets Try These Shoes On...

This thread was a great idea, I have been getting quite pissy at peoples thoughtless replys to pictures.. I dont agree that most of it is 'dark humor' either... I know cut up emo girl, her name is Suzanne, and there is a little shit who has betrayed her on here because these pictures come from a private invite only forum... But the comments that followed it hurt me deeply. How can anyone pass judgment on anything or anyone without either knowing the full story or being in the situation themselfes? I think alot of people on this forum are ignorant to other peoples issues, and a little thought befor replying that 'she should just kill herself right' ladaladlada blah...
if it was a person in your family, how would you feel at the response you are putting? I for one, though this was for sharing these photos etc not to be nasty and blame people for stuff.

ps..I have had 3 very close friends die in horrific car accidents all in the space of 2 weeks, my mum died of leukemia, my grandmother and my grandfather both died infront of me, one of my best friends killed herself 3 years ago and I am still struggling to get over it!!! I have had alot more harrowing shit happen to me personaly but i am not comfortable telling all just yet, I guess the pics with Suzanne hurt because I am a recovering self-harmer, and it has taken me a long time to get where I am today, my family and friends still dont know (apart from a few) and it was never for attention since alot of you have a little soap box you like to stand on and scream it at the top of your poisened little lungs!! it was a punishment that i thought i deserved, If you could have seen through my minds-eye and had to wake up with the torment of knowing you were still alive, knowing you had to go through another day of constant descust of yourself, then i would be less offended maybe, but please please, think of how your twatish comments effect others!!

pps sorry for rant, once i start i cant stop :(
and well done survivors, it takes an amazing amount of strenghth to go through what you guys have been through!!

no need to be sorry for the rant, people do have to realize what they say before they even post it, but they think "I don't give a shit, im doing this over the internet, what are these people ganna do to me."
I also feel you on your lost friends and mom.
My parents passed away when I was 11 years old in a car accident involving alcohol, my best friend died from alcohol poisoning, another good friend who was hit by two cars on the highway, and another good friend who commited suicide last April. It's hard to deal with this kind of stuff, just stay strong.

Re: Lets Try These Shoes On...

When I was a youngster I was run over by a pickup truck. Front and back tried passed over my back, left shoulder and left arm. My arm was mostly severed except for a bit of skin above the elbox. My femur was snapped and then crossed over and shoulder broken and I have enough roadburn on me to cover the whole block. My some miracle my back did not break but the tire prints were engraved into my back for several days after. Unfortunately for me, I stayed concious throughout the whole ordeal. My arm was successfuly reatached- the doctor received some kind of a eward for the job he did on me and I'm able to live a normal life. I still have some random pain here and there but meh...It would have been much worse.
