Why don't people just have their tonsils removed? It seems like they would be infected all the time, and cause sore throats and terrible breath Great posts, btw!  |

Thanks! As far as tonsil removal, in the US, at least, it's not performed anywhere near as much as it used to be, I don't know if doctors are saying it's not necessary in a lot of cases or what, they just don't do it as often. |

So glad I stopped getting those, after my tonsils were removed. Both of my kids had theirs removed, cuz they were getting sick a lot. My daughter was 2 when she had hers out.

Maybe she's anemic? Maybe she just pushed too damn hard trying to get a stone the size of a pencil point out. Some people seem to be ridiculously obsessed with getting every itsy bitsy stone they can out of their tonsils. I think she just pushed WAY to hard. There have been times when I've bled a little bit, but as soon as I see blood either on my finger or in my mouth, I immediately stop.
