Thailand, Two brothers that suffer from leg atrophy, pretty much since birth, live with their parents and other sisters and brothers in one house.
The family income is not high enough to proper feed and pay for medical care so an emergency worker is trying to raise attention to this case so maybe some agency is kind enough to help them out.

Muscle atrophy is a loss of muscle tissue due to disuse, disease or injury. A decrease in physical activity can lead to muscle loss in as little as 72 hours.

Atrophy can occur more suddenly with illness or injury to the muscles or their nerves, and the muscles in the legs are among the first to weaken. Even after muscle loss, the atrophy in your legs can be reversed through physical activity.

What Causes Atrophy of the Leg Muscles?

The most common reason for atrophy to occur in the legs is disuse. Lack of activity for any reason -- illness, injury, seated desk job, sedentary lifestyle -- can lead to loss of leg muscle.

Alcoholism and malnutrition can also inhibit muscle growth and cause the body to use muscle proteins for energy. Muscle loss also occurs as part of the natural aging process.

A less common cause of atrophy of the leg muscles is injury or illness affecting the nerves that connect to the muscles.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Guillain-Barre syndrome, neuropathy and polio are examples of nerve disease.

I thought the care for ill and disabled people over here was bad. Thailand, China, Hong Kong.... all seem to treat the ill, mentally ill or disabled so badly, putting them in cages and the like. Awful.

Ugh, now that's hard to look at. Really sad. Surely they haven't been that malnourished all their lives.

That's tragic

I've got marked atrophy of the muscle in my left leg from the knee down following my brain bleed. Nothing will build it up as the neural pathways are permanently destroyed. I'm very self concious of it but am trying to not let it affect me.

Hopefully these poor souls will get the aid they urgently need, even if it's sadly a hospice

I think it is worse to spend millions and billions of $ on the genetically inferior .I pay my taxes to keep those things alive..For what..They never do anything good for society except take take and take,,Then they become entitled to everything for free.Kill them before they cost the state money
